Contract extension for Barron

Pollok are pleased to confirm that a contract extension has been agreed with David Barron which will keep him at the club next season.

The former St Mirren defender signed for the club last summer and although his season was cut short by a serious injury, manager Murdie MacKinnon was delighted to keep the experienced defender at Newlandsfield and believes his best days at Pollok are very much ahead of him;

I am delighted to welcome David back for a second season at the club. He is an outstanding footballer who?s wealth of experience and tremendous quality will be a welcomed boost to the squad.

Last season ended with a horrendous injury for him but I have to credit David?s determination, attitude, desire and work ethic. This has ensured that he will return stronger and fitter than ever. I look forward to David making a huge contribution to the cause next season as I know how desperate he is to pay back the club and supporters for their support!

Meanwhile, our Donate a Ticket page is still up and running. All funds go directly to the club and they are especially appreciated at a time when our main source of income (gate receipts) is not available. If you are able, any donation is welcome.
