Alex is a product of the youth systems of both Falkirk and Hearts, and had a spell on the books of Partick Thistle as a teen but has spent the last 8 years in and around the West of Scotland set-up with Rossvale (initially on loan) and Petershill prior to Rob Roy. He started off 2022-23 with Huntershill Amateurs though moved on from them early in the New Year. In February 2023, Alex joined Lok on an 18-month contract to link up again with former boss Stewart Maxwell, though was immediately loaned out to Shotts Bon Accord.
