Recap

The Scottish Cup returns this weekend with a Glasgow derby clash, which sees Benburb visiting Newlandsfield.

Last season, Pollok enjoyed a Scottish Cup adventure, which saw us beat Girvan 6-0, Huntly 6-0, and beating Annan 4-3 under the lights at Newlandsfield, a match that was televised on BBC. The cameras then followed us to Somerset Park as we went down 1-0 to Championship side Ayr United.

Benburb were also in Scottish Cup action last season, they beat Fort William 4-0, Dundonald Bluebells 4-2 before Wick beat them 4-2.

The Bens returned to the WoSFL Premier Division this season and currently sit 8th in the table with a record of 3 wins and and 4 losses. Benburb were victorious earlier in the season when they won 4-1 at New Tinto Park.

Formed in 1885, the Bens have won the Scottish Junior Cup twice, 1934 and 1936. Paul Lovering took over in 2015, replacing his father Frank who was in charge for 13 years.
