Recap

Pollok make the 231 mile journey to Brora this weekend as we face Brora Rangers at Dudgeon Park in the Scottish Cup Third Round.

Pollok has the chance to make history by reaching the Fourth Round for the first time, if we manage to get past the Highland League outfit.

Brora are currently 7th in the Highland League, with a record of seven wins, three draws and one defeat, with a points tally of 24. Brora entered the Scottish Cup in the First Round and progressed with ease to the next round after a 5-1 home win over Berwick Rangers. They then faced Stenhousemuir away in Round Two and left with a 2-0 win.

In the Highland League, their only defeat came back in August against league leaders Brechin City. They currently sit 10 points behind Brechin.

The Cattachs were formed in 1879. They joined the Highland League in 1962, which they have won four times, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2019-20, and 2020-21. They won the Highland League Cup in 2022 and the North of Scotland Cup last season.

23 March 2021 will be a date that will be remembered by Brora supporters for years to come as they knocked out then Championship leaders, Hearts, in a Scottish Cup tie at Dudgeon Park, 2-1.

Ally MacDonald was a long serving player before taking over as manager in February to replace Craig Campbell, MaxDonald is assisted by Josh Meekings.

This will be the first competitive meeting between the sides.
