Newlandsfield to host Pollok United Girls

We are delighted to confirm that Newlandsfield will welcome a Pollok United match for the first time since 2019, as their U14s girls team take on Houston United in the SWF Jen Beattie League.

In 2017, the Pollok United 2006s played Renfrew in a friendly at Newlandsfield, and they took to the field again in 2019 for their Scottish Youth FA Cup tie against Dyce of Abderdeen. That 2006s team formed the core of last season’s Pollok U20 side, formed from the academy, and that relationship has continued with this year’s development side.

The match will take place on Saturday 30th August with a 13:45 kick-off. Gates open at 13:00 and admission is free.

Pre-season friendly schedule confirmed

We are delighted to be able to confirm our line-up of pre-season fixtures as Stewart Maxwell and the boys begin their preparation for our first campaign in the Lowland League West!

We kick off with a big one as SPFL Championship side Partick Thistle come to town, before away fixtures at Ardrossan Winton Rovers, managed by former Lok boss Tony McInally and Gala Fairydean Rovers, whom we hosted in 2023 in the Scottish Cup. We then end with home ties against West of Scotland First Division side Petershill, East Stirlingshire from the Lowland League East and newly-promoted Second Division side Easterhouse FA.

Tickets and hospitality are on sale now for the last three matches via Fanbase, and Thistle tickets will go on sale later this week.

Jags to visit Newlandsfield

We are delighted to confirm that our first pre-season friendly will be at home to SPFL Championship side Partick Thistle!

That Jags will visit Newlandsfield on Saturday 27th June with a 3 o’clock kick-off. This will be the first visit of our friends from across the river since Steven Aitchison’s testimonial match in 2011 which finished 5-1 to the Lok.

Ticket sales will open later this week. Depending on advance ticket sales, pay at the gate may be available to home fans for this match, so if you can then please buy in advance online – if anyone is unable to purchase online then get in touch with us either online or via any committee member, and we will be happy to make alternative arrangements.

Home fans will be located behind the Newlandsfield Road goals and in the main stand. Entry will be through the members’ gate as normal for members and through the gate between Loks and Morrisons for all other home fans. Home supporters who are unable to climb the stairs at that entrance may enter through the members’ gate.

Away fans will be located on the terraces along the Newburgh Street side and behind the far-side goal. Away entry will be by ticket-only and through the main turnstiles on Newburgh Street.

Stewards will be on duty throughout the afternoon, and bags will be searched on entry. Alcohol and pyrotechnics are not permitted within the ground.

Given that this match is likely to have an attendance approaching our capacity limit, supporters who leave the ground will not be permitted to re-enter, at half-time or at any other time in the match. Stewards will be positioned at exit points to communicate this to anyone wishing to leave, and to prevent re-entry from anyone who does so.

Admission will be £10 for adults, £6 for concessions and free for accompanied under-twelves. This match is included for members and season ticket holders – your space is guaranteed but if you cannot attend, it would be useful if you inform info@pollokfc.com

Season tickets are available to purchase online now via Fanbase.

More details regarding access points will be communicated nearer the time.

Given the expected large crowd and requirement to have two different access points, we are going to need extra volunteers to help us out, so please get in touch with info@pollokfc.com if you can sell programmes, draw tickets, or help with stewarding.

Pollok v Drumchapel United to kick off at 13:00

The kick-off for our league match at home to Drumchapel United on Saturday 28th March has been moved from 14:00 to 13:00.

This will give supporters of both sides the opportunity to do a Pollok/Scotland double with the men’s national team kicking off at Barclays Hampden at 17:00 against Japan! This will be Scotland’s first game since that famous result against Denmark in November which secured qualification for our first World Cup since 1998. With our match now due to finish at 14:45, this gives Tartan Army members plenty of time to make their way to the national stadium.

Hospitality is also available for this match if you fancy an upgraded pre-Hampden experience, and for £60 pp you get pre-match sandwiches from Boca, half-time pies from David Cox Butchers as well as a complimentary bar for an hour before kick-off and an hour after kick-off, as well as a drink at half-time. Book hospitality, and last orders at your complimentary bar will be at 15:45, allowing for plenty of time to walk (forty minutes) or hop a taxi to Hampden. Book your place via Fanbase or by emailing commercial@pollokfc.com

Tickets and hospitality spaces are available to purchase online right now, or you can pay at the gate on the day.

24th January Fixture Change

We can confirm that our home match against Auchinleck Talbot on Saturday 24th January has been postponed due to the need for our visitors to play a rescheduled cup tie.

We will now play a home match against Rutherglen Glencairn instead, on the same day with the same kick-off time. All tickets and hospitality bookings made for the original fixture are still valid, and ticket holders should contact info@pollokfc.com if they no longer wish to attend the new fixture.

Knightswood/Dyce up next in Communities Cup

Following our 3-0 win away to Arbroath Victoria last week, we will now host the winner of Knightswood v Dyce in the fifth round of the Scottish Communities FA Cup on Saturday 3rd January.

The outstanding fourth round match between the West of Scotland Third Division and North of Scotland Premier League sides will take place on the 13th December, and we will host the winner at Newlandsfield in our first game of the new year.

This will be the first time we have played either side, and tickets/hospitality places can be purchased here.

Newlandsfield to host Scotland v Bangladesh Seniors

Pollok FC are pleased to welcome a unique fixture to Newlandsfield this week, as Scotland’s Senior Over-50s squad host Bangladesh on Sunday 16th November – kick off at 14:00.

Our manager Stewart Maxwell will take to the field for the Scots, and there will be some special guests among the crowd. Admission is free, with donations being accepted for Calum’s Cabin. This is a fantastic charity that provides holiday homes for families affected by childhood cancer, with sites in Bute, Ayrshire, Anstruther, Glasgow and Aviemore.

Rose to visit Newlandsfield

We will host Lowland League side Linlithgow Rose this Tuesday (11th November) in a friendly at Newlandsfield.

A former giant of the East of Scotland Junior game, the Rosey Posey joined the East of Scotland Football League in 2018, and gained promotion to the Lowland League in 2023. We last played each other in November 2023, as goals from Ryan McGregor and Jay Nelson saw us triumph 2-0 at a sodden Newlandsfield Park in the South Challenge Cup.

The match will kick off at 7:30, and admission will be £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and free for under-12s accompanied by an adult. Season tickets are valid for this fixture.

Pollok to face Arbroath Victoria

Following Saturday’s win against East Craigie in the third round of the Scottish Communities Cup, Pollok have been given their fourth east coast away day of the season, and will travel to Ogilvie Park to take on Arbroath Victoria.

This will be our first-ever meeting, and it will take place on Saturday 22nd November.
