The club can confirm that midfielder Jordan Leyden sustained an ankle fracture during Saturday’s match against Dalbeattie Star and will be out of action for several months.

Following a challenge in the first half, Jordan was replaced by Scott Boyle and a scan on Sunday has confirmed the fracture. Jordan has played in all three of our matches so far this season, captaining the side in the last two in the absence of Jamie Bain.

While this is certainly a blow for the club, it is first and foremost a personal setback for Jordan, and he will have the full support of the club during what we all hope is a speedy recovery.
