All at the club were saddened to hear of the passing of our former player Sammy Johnston, at the age of 58. Sammy is pictured second from the right at the back row in the photo above.

Sammy signed for Pollok from Partick Thistle in 1999 and spent two seasons at Newlandsfield. In that time, he scored sixteen goals in 72 appearances, before moving to Neilston in 2001. Fifteen of those goals are featured below:

He was part of the squad that lifted the Sectional League Cup in 2000. He is pictured at the far right of the front row in the photo below:
