The club can confirm that central defender Ross Smith has taken the decision to retire from football due to a recurring ankle injury.

The 32-year-old defender has had a varied career throughout the Scottish leagues, turning out for Dundee United, Peterhead, Stenhousemuir, and Stirling Albion in the SPFL. Ross also turned out in the West of Scotland Football League with Kilwinning Rangers and St Cadoc’s, on top of two spells in the Lowland League with Broomhill, from whom he signed for Pollok in the summer, going on to make nine appearances in all competitions, including a clean sheet at the Falkirk Stadium in today’s 3-0 win against East Stirlingshire.
