Roy Hall: 1938 – 2024

It is with great sadness that Pollok FC announce the death of former president and long-term committee member Roy Hall at the age of 85.

Roy spent thirty years on committee and served as president from 1976 to 1978. His presidency saw the club win a solitary Central League Cup in 1978, but laid the foundation for the most successful decade in the club’s history, culminating in two Scottish Junior Cups in 1981 and 1985.

After stepping down from the presidency, Roy continued to be a regular at Newlandsfield over the next five decades, running the club lottery and also serving as President of the West of Scotland Junior FA for a number of years.

A lifelong Pollok FC supporter, Roy gave the club decades of service and will be missed dearly. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Roy’s funeral will take place at the Hurlet Crematorium on Wednesday 3rd July at 3 o’clock and then onto Loks Bar and Kitchen.
