Open training session – Wednesday 24th April

As the club prepares to compete in a cup final for the first time in six years, manager Stewart Maxwell and the squad would like to invite all supporters, young and old, to an open training session this Wednesday 24th April at Newlandsfield Park.

Supporters are encouraged to come down at 7pm where, prior to the session beginning at 7:30pm, players and staff will be available to say hello, sign autographs and take photos. Food and drink will also be provided for supporters.

As a club we are all looking forward to Sunday’s showpiece after what has been a challenging period off the park. We encourage all supporters to come down to Newlandsfield to show Maxi and the team your support for the last occasion where players and fans will come together before Sunday’s West of Scotland’s Cup Final where we hope the Broadwood stands will be resplendent in the black and white of the Southside’s local team. Pollok Football Club will continue to go forward with your support.

Speaking ahead of the session the manager had the following to say:

Wednesday is a great chance to come and see the players before the final. It will be an opportunity to get everyone together and for supporters to get to know the squad better. It is important for me to build a connection with the supporters, who are a massive part of everything that we do. The players, management and committee hugely appreciate the backing we receive from the fans, and we look forward to this continuing at the final.

The West of Scotland Cup Final takes place this Sunday 28th April with a 2pm kick off at Broadwood Stadium. Tickets for Sunday’s final can be bought in advance here:
