Happy New Year Pollok Fans

As 2023 comes to an end we look back at what has been a year of change and transition for our football club.

Nineteen new players have came to Newlandsfield and twenty have moved on to pastures new. We’d like to thank all players that pulled on the black and white (and purple) in the past year for their efforts and the memories they have helped to create. Stewart Maxwell and his backroom staff continue to work tirelessly to build a squad we can all enjoy watching and be proud to support.

Throughout this transitional phase we continue to challenge on three fronts as we strive to continue to improve together. We again reached the Third Round of the Scottish Cup, thanks to victories over Girvan, Benburb and Gala Fairydean Rovers, the last of which played in front of a 1000+ crowd at our home before narrowly losing out to Brora Rangers at Dudgeon Park with a healthy Southside support making the long trip to the Highlands.

To our fans and sponsors, Pollok wouldn’t exist without your continued dedication to your club. Whether you pay at the gate or provide backing through other means you help contribute to the Club’s continued hunt for success, we value you all. As a member-owned and operated club, we are only as strong as the volunteers that do work which so often goes unseen, if you would like to help shape our future the door is always open for fresh ideas.

Football never stands still, neither can Pollok, and as we adapt to new challenges during a time where the landscape of non-league football in Scotland is at it’s most vibrant and competitive your backing is essential.

As we look forward to 2024 we continue to aspire to “Go Forward”.

We open the calendar year with a blockbuster clash with Clydebank at Newlandsfield next Saturday. With this the biggest game in Glasgow that day we hope to see as many of you cheering Maxi and the team on against familiar rivals.

Thank you all for your support and efforts throughout 2023 and we wish you all a healthy, prosperous and happy new year. See you on Saturday, and as always:
