Pollok are pleased to announce the appointment of Billy Peacock as our new goalkeeping coach, succeeding Brian McNeil who tragically passed away in May.
Billy brings a wealth of experience as a player and coach, and was most recently at St Cadocs last season. As a player, he won the 1983 West of Scotland Junior Cup with Benburb, saving two penalties in the shootout against Port Glasgow, and as a coach he won the Scottish Junior Cup in 2002 with Renfrew, whom he later managed.
Spells at Arthurlie and Kilbirnie followed before a successful spell as goalkeeping coach at Glenafton where he won a treble consisting of the Scottish Junior Cup, Premier Division and Evening Times Cup in 2017.

Manager Stewart Maxwell had this to say on the appointment:
Billy has been coaching at this level for a long time and it is great to have him on board. He has a great personality, and demands everything from the keepers with his high standards. Brian would be delighted to know that Billy is carrying on his good work.
Billy has already been working with Jordan Longmuir, Ben Fry and Thomas Starrs of the U20s during the first few weeks of pre-season, and we wish him well in his new role.
