Pollok re-enter the Scottish Junior Cup

Pollok can confirm that the club will be taking part in the Scottish Junior Cup for season 23-24. We will be entering as a guest club and will not be reinstating our membership of the Scottish Junior FA.

Pollok have won the competition on three occasions in 1981, 1985 and 1997, as well as finishing runners up three times, most recently in 2016. We were due to play in the 2020 semi-final until the season was curtailed by Covid-19 and the competition was declared null and void.

Manager Stewart Maxwell had this to say about the club’s return to the competition:

Pollok have a long history in the competition and it’s another chance for the players to bring success to the club. I look forward to seeing how the journey goes and hopefully we can put a good run together.

The draw for the first round takes place on Thursday 29th June, and Pollok will receive a bye in this round due to our participation in the Scottish Cup.
