Kyle Hutton is the new Pollok captain!

We are delighted to confirm that new signing Kyle Hutton has been appointed by Stewart Maxwell as our new club captain.

The former Rangers midfielder takes the armband after signing from Forfar Athletic and succeeds David Brownlie in the role after his retirement. Kyle is one of the most experienced players in the current squad, having made appearances in the Scottish Premiership, Europa League and Champions League in a career that started at Rangers, and has since spanned Queen of the South, Dumbarton, East Kilbride and Forfar.

Maxi had this to say when asked why Kyle was his choice for captain:

Kyle’s wealth of experience speaks for itself, and he understands the expectation that comes with playing for a club like Pollok, and the demands of being captain. When we met prior to his signing, he showed all the traits that I was looking for in a leader. He is a very likeable and approachable individual, who will lead the club with tremendous integrity and pride.

Calum Gow will act as vice-captain, as the former Irvine Meadow man’s influence was praised by the gaffer since his arrival in December:

From the moment I brought Calum in, I knew he was a leader. He has a great attitude and again, is very likeable. He demands high standards in the dressing room and will also wear the armband with pride when called upon.

The leadership team is now in place, and you can be there to roar them on next season with a Pollok season ticket. Available online now!
