Pollok are delighted to announce the signing of Hugh ‘Shug’ Kerr. The forward arrives having spent the last two seasons at Glenafton, and has signed a one-year deal.

Starting his career at Alloa Athletic, Shug has also featured for Albion Rovers and Shotts Bon Accord, winning the 2012 Junior Cup with the latter alongside some familiar names to Lok fans: Mark Sideserf, Bryan Wharton, and Stefan McLuskey to name a few.

In recent seasons Shug has been with Lanark United, Rossvale, and most recently Glenafton Athletic where he has proved to be a reliable goalscorer finding the net 21 times in 30 matches last season with the New Cumnock club.

In Shug we have another who had an outstanding season last year at Glenafton scoring 21 goals. He’s a tough forward with real presence, which is something we have been missing . Shug didn’t hesitate to come to Pollok when the offer was made he’s hungry for success.
