Pollok FC can confirm today that Stephen McDevitt has been released from his contract by the club. The vastly experienced midfielder, 37, joined the club at the start of last season but due to the Covid shut-down, ended up spending what there was of the season out on loan at Rossvale and Drumchapel United. He has featured sporadically over the opening months of 2021-22 and as a result, the call has been made by Stephen to bring his time at Newlandsfield to an end.
Speaking to the website earlier today, Murdie said:
“I wish Stephen well as he moves on to pursue other avenues in his career. He goes with the best wishes of the staff and players. He also leaves with my gratitude for the effort and fantastic attitude he showed during his time at Pollok. He will always be welcome at Newlandsfield.”
All the best from all at the club, Stephen.
