Gary and Stuart sign up

Pollok are delighted to announce that both Gary and Stuart McCann have committed themselves to the club for another season.

Scottish Junior international, Gary, who signed from Irvine Meadow in 2016, has made 124 appearances for the club, scoring 26 goals and chipping in with many more assists.

Younger brother Stuart, joined Pollok a year later after a spell with Petershill. A quick forward with good aerial ability, Stuart has scored 39 goals in 105 Lok appearances.

On capturing the pair, Pollok manager Murdie MacKinnon had the following to say.

On Stuart;

I am absolutely delighted to have Stuart commit his future to the club. He has developed into one of the best and most sought after strikers in the game. His lightening quick pace, bravery, competitive nature and physical attributes make a real nightmare for any defender to deal with. He has also chipped in with his fair share of goals over the season.

Stuart is a brilliant lad who comes from a lovely family. I remember watching his junior debut at 17, it has been a joy to watch him develop. He is a humble lad who just wants to work hard and give his all for Pollok. We are delighted and lucky to have him at the club.

On Gary;

Gary returns for his 5th season at the club where he has played a pivotal role since his arrival. I know better than most that Gary is one of the most dangerous and exciting players in the league. His explosive pace and ability to go past fullbacks gets everyone on the edge of their seats. I have been privileged to watch him produce some of the best moments of attacking play at our level of the game. He is one of the most talented players I have worked with and he is an out and out winner into the bargain.

I look forward to watching Gary give more of those performances at Newlandsfield in the near future.
