We welcome the Crookston Community Group to Newlandsfield this Saturday to collect food donations for the group?s pantry.
The CCG work across the South West of Glasgow and in East Renfrewshire supporting communities who are within the most deprived 5% on the SMID index. As well as assisting people to access services they were unable to through circumstance and running activities to reduce social isolation, the CCG are increasingly finding that people within the communities have a
basic need for food. As a result, stocks are running low and they are currently running a food drive, which we will host this Saturday at our home game against Beith.
We ask supporters who are able, to bring a food item with them which we can donate to CCG. They have provided a suggested list of items which they are in need of;
Canned beans
Fruit canned in its own juices
Canned soups
Beef stew
Canned tuna
Canned chicken
100% fruit juices
Pasta
Rice
Condiments like ketchup and salad dressing
Nuts
Peanut butter
Multigrain and low-sugar cereals
Granola bars
Supporters can bring donations to the game and drop them off at the pavilion. There will also be representatives from the Crookston Community Group at the game on hand to give further information on their work so please give them a warm Newlandsfield welcome!
