Pollok Football Club is delighted to report that Jordan Longmuir, the reigning Player of the Year, has agreed to extend his contract into season 2017-18.
Longmuir has been a fans' favourite since joining the club in summer 2014, consistently impressing with commanding performances between the posts.
Jordan told pollokfc.com "I'm delighted that Tony [McInally, manager] wants me to stay on at Lok. To be honest, I didn't take much persuading to join in the first place, so to know that the manager thinks my performances have been worthy of a new deal means a lot.
"Newlandsfield is a great arena to play football in. I was honoured when the members voted me player of the year last season, and I've tried my best to return the favour on the park."
Tony McInally was delighted to retain Longmuir's services for the coming season. "Anyone who watches Pollok knows that the big man seems to pull something out of the bag every week! Jordan's been a key part of my squad since I signed him for my first full season, and I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to work out why.
"I've been talking to a few of the guys about next season, so hopefully there'll be some more news in the coming weeks."
