POLLOK Football Club is delighted to announce that three key members of the current playing squad have committed their future to the club for season 2016-17.
Club captain Paul Gallacher, keeper Jordan Longmuir and Gallacher's defensive counterpart, Chris Walker are the first names to appear on the Newlandsfield club's squad list for next season.
Tony McInally took time out from preparations for Saturday's ETHX Energy Scottish Junior Cup semi-final away to Hurlford to speak to pollokfc.com
"All three of the guys have been sensational this season, and I'm proud to say that none of the three missed a beat when it came time to sign for next year. Obviously I'm delighted that I'll be able to count on the services of the skipper next year, Paul's a top class junior footballer and an excellent ambassador for Pollok on and off the field. He and Chris have formed a great partnership this season and I'm really pleased that I'll be able to count on them both for the next one.
"Jordan has been a rock between the sticks for two seasons now, and he's been responsible for countless match-winning saves. He's an asset to our club.
"I'm sure Paul, Chris and Jordan will be good shouts for the Player of the Year vote, as they've been some of our most consistent performers this season.
"Most importantly, getting these guys in now is a signal of continuity at Pollok. We'll be speaking a few more of the guys in coming weeks, so I hope there will be more good news to come."
