Pollok Football Club is pleased to announce that a further three players from the current squad have completed contract extensions, committing their services to Pollok for Season 2016-17.
Colin Williamson, Findlay Frye and Kieran McAleenan are the latest names to join Paul Gallacher, Chris Walker and Jordan Longmuir in the 2016-17 Lok squad.
Tony McInally took a moment away from preparation for this coming Saturday's ETHX Energy Scottish Junior Cup Semi-final first leg match to speak to pollokfc.com
"These are three important parts of next season's jigsaw that we've managed to re-sign. This'll be Kieran's fourth year at the club, and it's no surprise he's had such staying power. He's skillful and versatile and has a great engine. Colin and Findlay have also made great strides forward together in the centre of midfield since January and have started to form a quite formidable partnership.
"I will admit, It has been a bit hectic! We've been super-focussed on preparations for the cup match, but I always try to have an eye on the future. Fans like to see a coherent squad that matures and develops together, and that knows what it means to play for Pollok. It's not every player who can handle the pressure of playing at such a big and well-supported club, but I think supporters will see that we're building a squad with the mental strength to achieve."
Pollok's ETHX Energy Scottish Cup Semi-final first leg match takes place tomorrow (Saturday 16th April) at Blair Park, Hurlford, kicking off at 14:30. The second leg takes place at Newlandsfield the following Saturday, kicking off at the same time.
