IN the run-up to this Christmas, the Club is asking Pollok fans once again to bring a small bag of non-perishable food items to any of our next 3 home games (Shettleston Juniors/Kirkintilloch Rob Roy/Hurlford United).
These items will be donated to a local food bank, to help those less well off among us in our communities at this time of year. Last year, we collected an unbelievable amount of donations from the Lok fanbase - special mention to some of the Greenock supporters who donated as well.
Club President, Stuart Macdonald told pollokfc.com “We are always striving to put our club at the heart of our local community, but sometimes we must stop and take notice of the fact that our local community is also at our club’s heart.
“We are simply asking supporters to donate a few pounds worth of tinned goods or other non-perishables in a carrier bag so that we can help those less fortunate than us in our community. “The difference it will make to local lives over the Christmas season is impossible to over-estimate.”
There will be a drop-off point for the donated goods within the ground. The Club asks all supporters to give as generously as they can in our Christmas appeal.
