Tony McInally has brought in his first additions to the squad of 2015 with two loan deals from Scottish League One side, Peterhead FC to strengthen the team for the second half of the season.
RYAN McCANN (33), the right-sided midfielder and right-back has been signed on loan from Peterhead FC. Ryan started his career at Celtic, making his debut in 2000 at the age of 18, in a 2-0 win against Dundee United. After leaving in 2003, Ryan had spells at St. Johnstone, Hartlepool United (English League 1), Clyde, Morecambe (English League 2), Airdrie United and Ayr United.
The midfielder also had spells at Queen of the South. During his time there, he famously scored a goal from 84 yards in 2008 against Dundee in the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals - sadly, the ‘doonhamers went on to lose the final 3-2 to Rangers. Ryan then had a short term placement as manager of Icelandic side, UMF Einherji in 2012 before signing with Scottish Third Division Club, Peterhead F.C. in December that year, and since then, has been a frequent starter in the Peterhead starting eleven.
DEAN RICHARDSON (27) has also signed on loan from Peterhead FC. The left-back has previously played with Celtic, Bohemians, East Stirlingshire and a spell with junior side, Larkhall Thistle before moving to the The Blue Toon in 2013. Richardson has played consistently over the last seasons and has also featured as captain for Peterhead on multiple occasions.
Speaking to the Pollokfc.com yesterday, Tony McInally said, “They are two quality additions to the squad who will help our young team for the remainder of the season”
“Bringing them on board leaves us better equipped for the run-in and, as I hope, to mount a push in the cup competitions.”
Welcome to Pollok FC, Ryan and Dean!
