The initial phase of the partnership will see SSM undertake a summer renovation package including overseeding and verti-draining the pitch.
Speaking about the partnership, Pollok President Fergus McDiarmid said: “Having a business with the experience and proven track record of Strathclyde Sportsturf Management on board, working with our own groundstaff, presents an excellent opportunity for the club. We are rightly proud of our playing surface and this partnership will help maintain its status as one of the very finest in junior football.”
Ian Headley, Director of Strathclyde Sportsturf Management commented: “I am delighted to be working with a club of Pollok’s stature. We are looking forward to getting started on the summer renovation package and working alongside the ground staff at the club.”
SSM has over 35 years experience in the industry and list several senior and junior clubs among their clients. They will be working alongside our dedicated ground staff to maintain Newlandsfield’s reputation as one of the best playing surfaces in the grade.
