Pollok Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Tony McInally as manager. Tony will be assisted in his new role by coach and assistant manager Stewart Ralston, and goalkeeping coach Brian Whelan.
Tony told pollokfc.com “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to manage Pollok Football Club, who are one of the biggest and best junior clubs in Scotland.
“Myself and the coaching team are really looking forward to working with the players at the club. We will need time and patience to implement our ideas and playing style.
“We will try our utmost to bring success, over time, to the football club.”
Club president Fergus McDiarmid said “We are very pleased to be able to make this announcement. We are convinced that Tony is the right man for the job; he has impressed us all with his professionalism and work-ethic throughout the application process.
“He is a manager with an excellent track record and is, without a doubt, the man to lead this great football club forward.”
Mr McDiarmid added “On behalf of the officials, committee and supporters of Pollok, I would like to extend a huge vote of thanks to Rab Sneddon and David Lilley, for the help they have given us by taking the team in recent weeks.
“We owe both a debt of gratitude.”
Mr Sneddon will manage the team on Saturday in the match at Glenafton, before Tony and his team take over the reins leading into the following Saturday’s big match against Irvine Meadow at Newlandsfield.
