Pollok FC today have parted company with two players, forward Jamie Docherty and defender Peter McMahon.
Manager John Richardson explained that Docherty has been on the fringes of the squad this season, and his wish to move on to seek a regular game has been granted. Richardson added that Docherty was on the verge of a loan move earlier in 2012, which fell through due to the receiving club being unable to agree terms with Pollok over wage payments.
On the subject of Peter McMahon, Richardson commented that a combination of Peter’s work committments impinging on regular midweek training (and the attendant effect on his fitness); and the imminent return of other players from injury, have meant that McMahon has opted to bow out of football altogether for the time being, in order to allow him to concentrate on his day job.
Richardson stressed that both players left on perfectly amicable terms after speaking personally to the manager.
Both John Richardson and Pollok Football Club wish both players the very best for the future.
