A few words from Stephen Docherty after Pollok’s comprehensive 6-0 win over Cambuslang in the Scottish Cup.
Lok assistant manager Stevie Docherty said: “We told them before the game that I was actually a part of the Neilston game at Pollok where they put us out in the first round.
So I drilled it into them that there is always a banana skin out there and just to make sure that it did not happen here (Somervell Park).
I thought the boys’ attitude right from the word go was spot on and when the goals went in there was only going to be one winner out there.
It is a massive result and in the Scottish Cup you will take six 1-0 victories to get to where you want to go in the Cup and to come here and score these goals is very pleasing.
We have a Cup Final now on Wednesday night (against Renfrew) and then we are back into the Super League on Saturday.
Hopefully the boys have taken confidence from today and we can start putting wins together in the Super League.”
