This year’s sporting dinner will see two high-profile Scottish football institutions gracing the Pollok FC Social Club on 21st October.
Firstly, former referee Kenny Clark, who hung up his whistle for the final for the final time in 2008. Clark has since made a name for himself as a columnist and after-dinner speaker, and will no doubt entertain with his insights and anecdotes about life as a ref.
The second speaker is a true legend, both of the Scottish game, and of the after-dinner circuit. Jim Leishman has had a distinguished playing and managing career, as well as establishing a name for off-beat poetry; a claim that few footballers would be able to make! The Fife poet laureate’s wit and anecdotes are second to none and will surely add sparkle to an already entertaining evening.
Pollok FC’s Sporting Dinner will take place in Pollok FC social club on 21st October 2011, with tickets priced at £35 per person. Tickets can be purchased individually, or in groups. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
