Welcome to the Pollok FC 1908 Club
In these difficult financial times, football clubs are finding it more and more difficult to compete.
Pollok is no exception. While considerable efforts are always being made behind the scenes to find new and innovative ways of funding the club, it’s no secret that a successful team on the pitch requires a significant financial outlay.
So, in response to enquiries from members and supporters wondering how they can play their part, Pollok FC is delighted to launch the Pollok FC 1908 Club.
The 1908 Club allows fans to set up a monthly standing order to the club in order to boost funds, allowing the club to enhance its squad and better enable it to compete for major honours. A list of members will appear in every programme and on pollokfc.com (though anonymity may be requested).
This follows in the footsteps of other leading Junior clubs who offer similar. One of the more successful Ayrshire teams, Auchinleck Talbot, have raised over £68,000 in recent years following a similar scheme, and as a result can boast several major honours in recent years, including 3 Scottish Junior Cups.
The 1908 Club is already up and running, with committee members already putting their hands in their pockets and giving a monthly donation to the club.
Remember, a stronger, better Pollok takes commitment from all of us, so don’t delay! Simply ask a committee member for an application form, complete it, and take it to your bank. Bank staff will take the information from that and help you to set up a standing order to help maintain Pollok FC as a driving force in Junior football.
